Palakkad: The body of Lt Col EK Niranjan of the National Security Guard, who was killed in the counter-offensive against terrorists at the Pathankot air base, was laid to rest in his hometown here with full state honours.
Ahead of the braveheart’s cremation, his family members, friends, politicians and top officials from the security forces paid their last respects to the slain NSG commando, who was killed while defusing a grenade at the scene of the terror attack at Pathankot IAF base.
